At the height of its power, House Targaryen rules Westeros with unmatched authority and a vast number of dragons under its command. Although the kingdom appears stable, a single decision by King Viserys sets the stage for future conflict. Breaking long standing tradition, he names his daughter Rhaenyra as the heir to the Iron Throne. However, when a male heir is later born, tensions within the royal court begin to grow. Rival claims, political ambitions, and family divisions slowly transform into a struggle for power that spreads across the realm. As loyalties are tested and alliances shift, the foundations of the Targaryen dynasty begin to crack, leading toward a devastating civil war that will change the future of Westeros forever.
